Creative planning and design team

Compath is UDS's specialized planning and design team that generates new value in the world by thinking creatively alongside customers and materializing their ideas. From architecture to interiors, including hotels, commercial facilities, residences, stores, and offices, our team handles numerous projects across diverse fields, focusing on design and creativity.

With the theme "Creating the Tomorrow We Want," Compath aims to create new paths in the realms of communication, commodity, community, and company through innovative thinking. Evolving as a team that responds to various phases, not just limited to architecture and interiors.

Approximately 50 specialized staff members are continuously engaged in several projects. We're increasingly involved in projects from the business planning stage through design and construction, covering a wide range of facilities, from architectural design to interiors, products, landscape, graphics, and design-build projects.

Our accolades include iF Design Award, A' Design Awards, Good Design Award, JCD Design Award, Japan Space Design Award, and numerous others both domestic and international. We have worked on a broad spectrum of projects, from domestic ones like Shimokita railroad track wite, city planning in Miyakonojo-city, Ghibli Park, Muji Hotel Ginza, and Yuen Series, to international projects like Muji Hotel Beijing and Hotel Anteroom Seoul.

Scope of Services

Planning: Research, consulting, business planning and financial analysis, concept design, brand design, project management, operation leasing.

Design: Architectural design supervision, interior design, spatial design direction, furniture and fixture production and procurement, equipment production and procurement, art curation and procurement.

Landscape Design: Exterior design supervision, outdoor space direction.

Graphic Design: Naming strategy, signage and logo design, package design.

Product Design (in collaboration with the su+ team): Development and procurement of accessories, equipment, and decorative items.

Design-Build (in collaboration with the QBLE team).
