After working at Wasekkei Design Office, joined Urban Design System Co., Ltd. in 1999. Appointed to the Board of Directors in 2009. Has extensive experience in designing new builds and renovations for cooperative housing, rental apartments, offices, commercial facilities, and hotels. Currently serves as a Director of Okinawa UDS.
2. What do you think is essential to make a city more enjoyable
The power of "soft aspects."
In an age where digitalization and AI reduce opportunities for human interaction, analog conversations and real-life experiences between people are what bring enjoyment and vitality to a city. I believe that creating opportunities for sensory-rich experiences and meaningful encounters makes a city more attractive and engaging.
3. What is essential to enjoying work?
A positive mindset and connections with people.
Having a forward-looking attitude and engaging with various people and perspectives sparks new ideas, which lead to more enjoyable work.
I actively seek opportunities to meet people and have conversations not limited to work-related topics. These diverse interactions provide valuable input, and I feel that this accumulation of experiences continues to make my work more rewarding and fun.
